Import ....from the server

What populates the "...from the server" option on import.

I have some files in my uploads directory but nothing to select in this drop down.

My files are gnuzipped. I guess I need to create a cron job to extract these?

Make sure the file ends with .csv or .csv.gz. What file extension are they?
