I know that there is already a thread on this forum about this issue and my hopes where that that thread would fix my problem...but it doesn't.

I get the same message...Site error: the file /homepages/40/d207689327/htdocs/indyhomezone/wp-content/plugins/wfreview/wfreview.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

One of the replies to the thread implied that we might have to install ionCube on our server but my understanding is that the plugin already takes care of this, hence the folder within the plugin called ioncube...so that seems to be out of the question.

Another reply was to change or create the php.ini to zend_extension = /usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so

I did that to no prevail and it still gives me the same error...any suggestions? My host is 1&1.

If IonCube Loader is not installed on your server, you'll need to have it installed. It's quite simple, but you do need some elevated access to the box to accomplish the install.

Is it a VPS/Dedi/Shared? Do you have root access?

I don't know specifically if it is loaded on the server but I go thru the steps that 1&1 gives to install it on the server but it is essentially the same files that are included in the WFReview plugin > ioncube...so I don't know what the difference here would be...the host tells me the files that need to be downloaded and uploaded to the server but I still get no results from the plugin...

One thing it does say when I run the helper in run-time, is:

Warning: dl() [function.dl]: Temporary module name should contain only filename in /homepages/40/d207689327/htdocs/<domain removed>/ioncube/ioncube-loader-helper.php on line 411

I get no results with the php.ini file either.

It is shared and no root access to the server just to the site...

I finally got an email from them asking what domain I wanted ionCube installed on. Once this is done, the plugin should work correctly?

EDIT: Just checked my phpinfo and it says:

This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2008 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32, Copyright (c) 2002-2007, by ionCube Ltd.

So I don't know what is going on and am lost at this point!

Find me on AIM at nickmatternTMG and we'll go through it together.

Are you 100% sure you uploaded your files using Binary transfer, not ASCII?

I thought I changed it to binary but let me check. If that doesn't work then I will find you on AIM.
