Hi folks - I AIM'd Nick about this earlier but I wanted to share in case anyone is having similar errors.

I set up a new blog today using WordPress 2.7.1 and proceeded to add posts through the CSV "Upload Data to Posts" function as I normally do. I set the posts to make a category based on a column, and to post randomly between January 1 and December 31.

The three errors I noticed:

1) The post template won't save for some reason. It never saves for me, and I've tried about 10-15 times.

2) No "Previous Imports" show up at all. This is after uploading like 5 separate databases. Nothing.

3) No posts scheduled for the future are actually scheduled. The only posts that get loaded up for me in 2.7.1 are those from this second backward - nothing that is scheduled into the future even shows up under "Posts". It's like they're not scheduled at all - even though the correct amount of records/posts is shown when the CSV is finished uploading.

I'm pretty surprised to see this error and I'm hoping it's due to WP 2.7.1 and something easily fixable. Just wanted to pass it along... for now I have no choice but to go back to WP 2.7.

Thanks,

Tangy

Hey Tangy,
Are you running 1.1.3 by chance? I noticed Ryan and I referenced it in the support forums but I failed to update it in the membership download section.

1.1.3 is tested and works with WP 2.7.1, I've posted a video here demonstrating it's working. If you have problems after 1.1.3, let me know, we'll get it resolved!

VIDEO demo of this working at: http://www.reviewpluginforwordpress.com/support/toTangy/toTangy.htm

(Disclaimer: I was in a bad way after a night full of Colorado bulldogs, so I apologize if I don't sound very spiffy in the video!)

If you're using 1.1.3 and still have problems, ping me on AIM at nickmatternTMG!

Tangy, does it work going back to 2.7?

I hate to start over from scratch with my sites, but I wasted waaaay too much time already, if the plugin works in 2.7 then that's probably the best option.

My comment ratings are not displaying correctly is the main issue.

The post templates seem to be saving, but it does no good because you can't use them, no way of getting them to load again. I found them in the DB today though, so at least I can now get them the hard way. By the way, just editing the DB itself seems to be the most efficient way of getting past many limitations such as customizing the post ratings from the random generated versions.

Is it worth it to 86 everything and install 2.7? Did it solve your issues?

If I recall Tangy started with a fresh 2.7.1 install of WP and it worked flawlessly.

The plugin does work extremely well, over 400 domains are running it full time, so if there are any issues an individual has, first search the forums for the answer, then contact support to see if there is a quick fix.
