Who do you host with? Your host needs to install Ioncube if it's not already installed on the server. Most hosts have this module as well as Zend, PHP, MYSQL, and others preinstalled.

seriously, if your host doesn't know how to install ioncube loaders, it's time to find another host.

I had this very same problem.
I had to enable ioncube by adding the following line to my php.ini file in my public_html directory:
zend_extension = /usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so
If you don't have a php.ini file, simply create one using your favorite text editor and upload it to your public_html directory.
I hope that solves your problem.

I did everything and the result is:
www.mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wfreview/ioncube/ioncube-loader-helper.php:
"An ionCube encoded file has been loaded successfully.
Encoded files should now function correctly.
If you have a problem with your PHP application, please contact the application provider."
Still can not activate the plugin and still can't solve this: wp-content/plugins/wfreview/wfreview.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator!!
Is it in a wrong folder?
I tried the root. the wp-content... and every possible folder..the ionCube works, the plugin - not!
My be the plugin just doesn't work here :(((

1&1, but your advice doesn't help, because the ionCube "HAS BEEN LOADED SUCCESSFULLY"
It's the plugin that doesn't react!

Can you PM me the URL for the loaded successfully screen as well as upload a <?php phpinfo(); ?> script and provide me the URL so I can double check the installation. Thank you.

I'd also like to add that I just bought this plugin and had the same problem..
..and I've already fixed it with one simple dealy-o by going into cpanel>php config and selecting PHP5 (single php.ini) the zend extensions for ioncube were already in the file I might add.
I previously had PHP5 selected that uses multiple php.ini's instead of a master file.
easy breezy,

as an FYI, I use bluehost and this is what they had to do in order for me to use this plugin:
change for entire hosting account to use a single php.ini (meaning all your sites will look at the php.ini located inside of your public_html directory)
after this change was done, I was able to activate the plugin successfully.
hope this helps some people out...
