Styling and layout

First let me say that I do really dig this plugin, otherwise I would hjave not drop a dime on it, though.........

If I am off base here and there is a way to say add rating after website input form or whatever, or make any other style related changes please let me in. But from what I can see everything is encrypted. Please give us a template files and template tags to style and move shit around.

Is there any styling options available to users?

just look at the page after you've added your records, view source, and create your css.. alternatively if you're not using the built in insertion of the template tags you can create your own display functions in functions.php

Ive done some styling by checking out the source, but lets say you want rating cats in some different format or you would like to add some other elements..... before I go on let me get home to my local machine to check out the functions file....

I can see creating custom display functions just about every element of your review site except for the display of the reviews themselves, you have to have access to the display functions called out in the review script /plugin, or at least have some access to its "templating" system, if there is one, which I am pretty sure this plugin uses a pretty common type, but without access to some of the display script there is no flexibility in the design, just hacking it a bit with css.

I am not much of a programmer, actually I am not a php programmer period though I do understand enough to get what goes on in a well written plugin or script, and make changes when need be.

Am I wrong here, or is there a way to actually control the layout, design, locations and position of this plugin output?

Like I said I do understand and am able to hack what is visible, but when most of the designs functions, and elements are hidden there isn't much flexibility, which should not be an issue with a paid plugin, script or program. Should at least be able to customize to the point of being able to make one review site totally undistinguishible from another. In the long run their will be millions of these review sites, thousands, maybe millions depending on how some use it, all with the same fingerprint, which is obviously not a good thing.

This plugin could make the site, power the site, if you choose to use it that way and development continues in that direction. The direction I am moving or would like to move is to give this plugin a real run for its money letting it and its future functions and adons become the site, not the other way around, where wordpress would really be the backbone sort of say. I would really like to do some customization and experiment with different layouts, positions and reviews output.

Hope this will be something that is addressed in further updates, maybe releasing, decrypting the templating, or layout code, something to allow complete customization and positioning of the output would'nt be to much to ask for. Keep the code that powers the script and its engine encrypted, that is really what should be kept encrypted. Not the templating and display functions, parameters.....

Although if I am really missing something and I already have complete control and just dont see or realize it please point it out. If I already have total control over it and just dont realize it, or see it, show me the way to the code it would be much appreciated.......

If I am right, like ive said before im no programmer, i may be missing something that is right in front of my face, but if not is there any chance of gaining access to that part of the script and being allow to customize its display and output 100%?

I mean if it can be done easily enough you are really risking nothing, your gem is still safe and locked away within ioncubes encryption engine.

Im talking the whole shibang here, as far as positioning and formatting output... For instance I dont care for the review stars of the comment form are stuck down there between the comment area and comment submit button. Its driving me nuts, though I have no way of easily and effectively movingit without hacking the shit out of wordpresses comments.php and running into possibly long drawn out positioning experiments that should not be so complicated or hack like, when it is all there for you to give to us......

Havent read any other posts this has probably already been covered somewhere, though my two cents are in and hopefully they are worth something. Im sure any marketer, or designer can see the benefits of easily being able to make changes to the source code of the ratings out put and other design elements, for asstetic purposses, as well as converting experiements and other obvious issues involved using the same layout and same layout source over and over again on thousands of sites.

Anybody that has used wordpress, or any other site script/ CMS that is being used on thousands of sites or is potentially going to be used by the numbers for any period of time knows the importance of resolving common footprints by the script, template whatever. If you dont know go study, though I am sure we would all pretty much agree that 10,000 sites using this plugin whether hacked through a css file or not, creating thousands and thousands of seeded reviews all layed out the same regardless of the looks unless you actually get in there and change the formatting, tags, main layout elements and attributes, we all may run into some very serious problems with sites getting indexed than, turning around and becoming deindexed, or just not getting indexed at all because for some reason people in high places or spiders in low places discover a problem and a layout that ten thousand, maybe hundreds of thousands of sites could be using by the end of the year.

Im sure customization of output will be addressed, I can only hope anyway, when and if it is dont be lazy people! use unique code, unique layouts, with this script, as well as any highly used WP templates you might be using with this plugin. Customize the shit out of them, even if they become simple, but customized to the point that engines arent going to associate your site with 10,000 others using the same template that didnt make many changes.

Im fucking rambling again.... If you would like to put together a few predefined layouts, templates Id be more than willing to give a hand when I have the time. Im not sure how you will go about it releasing the encrypted design output of the code, or if you will offer enough customizable design functions that can be customized then called out to display wherever and however youd like.

You know this medication is killing me, Im fucking rambling again... Sorry hope anyone whom thinks more styling options, display functions, access to hard code of layout elements to customize the output of the reviews and where each element will be placed, or even a fully customizeable template system if possible would be very very beneficial speak up.

If the code owners of this project also agree, please speak up and like Ive mentioned before I dont just talk! If I suggest something that turns out to be a go forward thing I have no fucking problem standing behind it and working toward getting shit done.

Really am sorry about the ramblings tonight, I really cant tell if I am making allot of sense or just babling at times, hopefully things level out hear and I get on some meds that keep me leveled out not speed'ed out writing on a damn plugin forum at almost 4 in the morning when I got to get up at 6 drive an hour and a half to install multimedia , broadband services for 10 hours.... Dude Im going to crash, hope to read some follow ups and other opinions on some suggestions being made and the reasons behind them.

Would also like to here from the big guy on what new directions, if any, or changes he or they plan on implementing or fine tuning anytime soon/

Like Ive said before Im really digging this script and am going to be putting allot of trust, money and time into trying a few really unique things with future and existing capabilities of this plugin. I know there are people out there reading this thinking whats so great about this plugin, a simple plugin, ill have my own made, biaaatch!!!! Thats all well and fine, I am telling you this simple little review script has helped rekindled a flame that died a little over a year a ago, Earning my first moneys once again , this plugin if it keeps going in the direction people are saying is going to be a money making machine if used uniquely! Just so many projects that I no I can pull off successfully ideas Ive had in my head , but just havent had the right tools, just getting back into affiliate marketing I think I made a good investment and am looking forward to being rewarded with fat , not always but sometimes fat affiliate checks once again, cant wait to start bringing in $,$$$ checks multiple times per month that I made , once again! this time around im shooting much higher and not throwing it away for anyone or any reason and I am telling each and everyone of you This script is going to be paying many of my bills! I garuntee if I get some of the functions and tools talked about with this script on and during release the doe is going to start flowing! So yes I am dedicated as ever and yes this tool will be one of the sharpest in my box for now, so youll be seeing me around quite often and when you ask for suggestions, opinions and feedback you will be getting plenty of them from me.

Ill also be posting some of the ways I use this tool to make make money as the months go by. Cant garuntee you any magic formulas or top secret shit, just some past knowledge of making money, some new tools, some decent ideas and the determination to follow through.

Im fucking rambling again, but its good.. I hope to meet with a few of you serious marketers out there that bought this plugin and discuss success, money and good times. I already see a few of you here that I recognize that from way back when and seem to still be following their dreams and asperations of making money the american way.

As far as the graphical display of the ratings, every aspect of that can be controlled with CSS. The output of the ratings is extremely basic but each element is wrapped in an easily-stylable tag.
