I just found this tool and looks like an amazing way to create .csv files. Scrapes from any webpage and parses it into csv. seems very flexible, and a great tool to go great with WFReview plugin.

watch the video (http://www.webphp.net/web-data-parser.html).(shameless affiliate link):)

or

watch the video (http://www.webdataparser.com) (non aff link) :(

I bought it but have not had time to try it yet, but the vid looks kick ass.

Did anyone actually bought this Web Data Parser that medicalhumor is talking about. I checked the video and it looks very promising. Any feedback would be much appreciated.:)

Check out http://dapper.net. I've used the free account on there with good success.

I've also been told about http://www.mozenda.com but have never used it personally.

I'm playing with Dapper right now. Any possible way that someone could do a short and simple idiots guide for getting a properly formatted CSV from Dapper for WFReview? I'll keep finger fucking this thing for a while longer and hopefully get it, but a couple pointers/instructions would be much appreciated.

I'll throw together a quick video demo of using dapper and importing the CSV file. Look for it around Fri/Sat. I'll post the link here also.

Yeah, I bought web data parser.

It's good, and does mostly what it says it will, doesn't seem to work with yellow pages canada though, and has problems with ajaxy sites with only images, but other than that it's pretty cool.

I know I promised to have a video ready by this weekend but I've been swamped working on WFReview v2. I'll have a video for you guys within the next day or so.

Thanks!

I went to the link earlier and tried the mozenda program.
I wanted to build a directory of chocolate makers for chocolate.org - I am the marketer for this company.

I was able to get all of the data easy - I had one minor issue, called them up and they ended up setting the entire thing up for me in 10 minutes over the phone. I am in awe of this product very cool screen scraper.

mozenda.com thanks for the heads up in the earlier post.

Thanks for the heads up about dapper. It seems to work pretty good for some things and you can't beat the price!
