I created a database with wfreview with categories being the states.
I decided to move it to another domain, so I exported the database using the wordpress export function to create an .xml file

I then imported the file into the new domain using the import function.

All the posts were imported, and all the categories were created, but none of the posts went into their respective categories. Any idea what happened here? I've never done an export/import in wordpress before.

anyone have any experience with this?

No idea. Just to be clear for newbies, there is no export feature in WFReview, the export here is the native Wordpress feature. I've used it before, but it's been on Mickey Mouse sites with only 20 or so posts. I'd try the export again, or if it still doesn't work, upgrade the old blog to WP 2.7 and use the export function in the event tehre was a bug in the old version you were using!

Are the versions of WP the same?

yeah, they were the same version, same basic template.

I've come across a quasi fix. apparently they are all assigned the proper category, they just don't show up. but, if I open up a post in each category and just hit the save button, it then pops it back into place. Just a real pain in the ass to have to open 51 posts and hit the save button

didn't mean to imply that there was an issue with WFReview, it clearly kicks ass. I was just looking to see if anyone had come across an issue like this before.

Glad you found a workaround.
