Error 500 - Internal server error

Can somebody please tell me what to do: when I try to activate the plugin, I've got Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Even this FIX doen't help: Rename the /wp‐content/plugins/wfreview folder to wfreview_bad.

I have no idea why, but it looks to me that the problem is with 1and1.
I uploaded the plugin to another site (another hosting) and that solved the problem :cool:

I just miss that the uploaded files can not be updated or edited. Otherwise the plugin is great!
